On May 29th, 2024, a group of Business Management Study Program students from Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) Alam Sutera held a field visit to the Cikarang Dry Port. This visit aimed to provide students with a practical understanding of the export and import processes. Cikarang Dry Port, as an integrated land port operator in the largest industrial area in Indonesia, was the ideal choice for this activity. Students were welcomed by the Cikarang Dry Port management team, who provided a detailed explanation of the various stages in the export and import process, starting from receiving goods, storing them, and shipping them to the main port.
During the visit, students were invited to tour the dry port facilities, including the storage warehouse, container area, and operational control center. They also got the opportunity to discuss directly with experienced professionals in the fields of logistics and international trade.
The hope of this activity is that students can apply the knowledge gained in their studies and better prepare themselves to enter the world of work in the fields of business management and logistics. Thank you for visiting BINUS University Alam Sutera, colleagues.
