Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, Cikarang Dry Port, in collaboration with the Indonesian Quarantine Agency, held an event called “Socialization of the New Cikarang Quarantine Service System” at Jababeka Golf & Country Club, Cikarang.

CDP is included in the West Java Quarantine service area. The purpose of this socialization is to provide information about West Java Quarantine to stakeholders and service users there. This was done after the transfer from DKI Jakarta Quarantine. This socialization also discussed the technicalities of quarantine according to the new law and introduced the Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Badan Karantina Indonesia/Barantin) system to service users.

In his direction, the Head of the Quarantine Data and Information System Center, Ichwandi, conveyed the importance of re-registering for users of quarantine services. “The Barantin system, or what we know as BEST TRUST, will be implemented effectively starting October 1, and all quarantine application services must go through this system,” he concluded.

Taryu, as the head of the law enforcement work team, also explained the duties and functions of the West Java quarantine. According to regulation PERBA 2 of 2023, the West Java quarantine work area is the entire administrative area in the province of West Java. Consequently, quarantine services in this area are the responsibility of the West Java quarantine.

This event was attended by 56 people from 25 companies. We hope that the information provided by Cikarang Dry Port and the Indonesian Quarantine Agency can provide smooth activities in the future.
