Connecting Local Potential to Global Markets: PPEJP and West Java SMEs Explore Export Opportunities at Cikarang Dry Port

“Every export journey begins with knowledge, opportunity, and the right logistics ecosystem.”

For many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), expanding into international markets can feel like a major challenge. Questions surrounding export procedures, logistics, and documentation often become barriers before businesses even take their first step toward global trade.

To help bridge this gap, PPEJP (Export Education and Training Center) under the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, together with West Java SMEs, visited Cikarang Dry Port to gain firsthand insights into how an integrated logistics ecosystem supports international trade.

More than just a port visit, the program provided participants with a closer look at the infrastructure, services, and expertise that help businesses navigate the export process with greater confidence.

The participating SMEs represented a diverse range of local industries, producing commodities such as tea, rattan products, tatami, liquid palm sugar, and various other products with strong export potential. Throughout the visit, participants explored Cikarang Dry Port’s integrated facilities and discovered how each component of the logistics ecosystem works together to support efficient export and import activities. The experience also provided valuable insights into how integrated logistics solutions can help businesses streamline their supply chains and expand their reach into international markets.
